Brown County to Host Second Public Meeting for SS4A Safety Action Plan

(BROWN COUNTY, Wis.) – Brown County will continue its efforts to develop a county-wide traffic Safety Action Plan by hosting a second public information meeting (PIM), taking place from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20 at Allouez Village Hall, located at 1900 Libal St. A virtual option also will be available from 6-7 p.m.

“We’ve received valuable input from residents and stakeholders about the issues affecting them most in their local communities,” Brown County Highway Commissioner Chris Hardy, PE said. “That feedback is invaluable as we work together to make our streets safer for everyone in Brown County.”

Similar to the first PIM, this meeting will follow an open-house format, allowing attendees to drop in at any time between 4-6 p.m. to review data gathered so far and provide additional input. A virtual session from 6-7 p.m. will provide another opportunity for participation. All materials will be posted on the County’s project website following the meeting.

The Safety Action Plan is part of the County’s work under the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) initiative, and it builds upon the 2018 County Highway System Safety Plan to take a data-driven, community-informed approach to improving roadway safety.
