Communicator of the Year and Best of Show

Revelation PR, Advertising & Social Media took home two top honors at the annual PRSA-Madison Alchemy Awards held Thursday night.

For the third consecutive year, we won an Award of Excellence, this time in the category of media relations. The campaign also tied for “Best of Show,” which was a pleasant surprise, especially because the of the quality of campaign entries this year.

I was deeply honored to be named the 2013 Communicator of the Year. It’s been quite the year, with some accomplishments including hosting a TV show, launching a coworking space and launching an online newspaper. As I said in my speech last night, I’ve had an incredible journey through the world of public relations, and I’m grateful to the many people who helped me along the way.

2012 PRSA-Madison Alchemy Awards

Revelation PR, Advertising & Social Media won a PRSA-Madison Award of Excellence for the second straight year, this time in the category of integrated communications, in last week’s annual Alchemy Awards.

Judging this year’s entries was the Suburban Chicagoland Chapter. Feedback on our entry included “this was a good effort to obtain a great result using earned and social media” and “very strategic and well-placed implementation.”

I’ve previously won in categories such as media relations, new communications vehicles and special events, but this is the first time I’ve entered into integrated communications, so I was really happy to have won.

2011 PRSA-Madison Alchemy Awards

Each year, the Madison chapter of the Public Relations Society of America organizes its own awards program called the Alchemy Awards in which the best campaigns in Madison are recognized.

I’m proud to say Revelation PR, Advertising & Social Media received an Award of Excellence in the category of media relations. The judges from the Northeast Wisconsin Chapter noted the “well thought out research” and the “great results in one year” and actually gave enough points to the entry to receive the “Best in Show” award, though that ended up going to another campaign.

For me, this is my third organization for which I’ve won an award from PRSA-Madison. Thanks to my great staff for their efforts!
